David Heinemann

David Heinemann is a Senior Advisor at Overture Advisors, LLC. He has provided financial and strategic advisory services to clients in the Information Technology and Media industries since 1984 and has concluded over 60 transactions with a cumulative value of over $600 million to date. David's clients have included Advent Software, American Management Systems, BMC Software, Compuware, Eastman Kodak, EDS, Geocapital, Jefferson-Pilot, Martin Marietta (now Lockheed Martin), MediaNews Group, several leading companies that were acquired by Computer Associates, and Primedia among many others. As a strategic advisor, David typically takes on an active or interim management role with his clients to restructure and/or reposition their business for success or refine/refocus their IT products or infrastructure. In this capacity, David served as Senior Vice President at INPUT, a market research firm focusing on the government IT market, where he was on the board of directors (2000-2005) and led the finance, administration, business development and sales functions of the company (2005-2007).

David is an IT investment banking specialist with a long history of successful transactions with Heinemann & Co. and Broadview Associates. Prior to that, he developed the personal computer book and software publishing program of Prentice-Hall, Inc. He holds a MBA from Columbia University and a Sc.B. in Physics from Brown University.
